Baby Circle Time Magic!

Help me give my students the baby dolls for developmentally appropriate dramatic play and enhanced Baby Doll Circle Time Curriculum in an identity safe space.

My Project

We have been collecting various doll furniture, accessories and made doll blankets through donations but are still needing baby dolls in order to teach the Baby Doll Circle Time Curriculum

Having a collection of baby dolls will allow more children to engage in healthy social emotional learning through dramatic play as well as explore and reflect on aspects of care and empathy through emulating positive behaviors role modeled by adults and peers.

As part of PreK3 education, children get to experience the Baby Circle Time curriculum, which runs for the whole school year. It is an opportunity for all students, especially students who would shy away due to perceived biases and stereotypes a chance to explore emotions, care and responsibility in a judgment free space. The aim of this project is to provide a wide assortment of baby dolls each unique in skin tone, dress and facial appearance reflecting the many different faces and cultures that make up our class this year as well as enable whole class participation during our hands-on, active baby circle time!
