Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at Desert Sky Middle School are hard working adolescents who enjoy helping others. They take great pride in assisting others in curricular areas as well as in life. Along with being great people, our students are hungry as ever to be the best musicians they can possibly be.
Desert Sky students will always be the first to lend a hand, lend an ear, or lend an hour of work to make the lives of others better.
Their charisma, desire to be great, and helpfulness create a community atmosphere of positive learning.
My Project
The bass drum and triangle are key components to any percussion section. Without these two vital elements a percussion section lacks power and delicacy to compliment the band. This project will help give our percussion section the proper materials to perform our musical literature.
When the percussion can play with quality instruments, everyone wins: the band, the students, the school, and the community.
The bass drum mallets in this project will help the students create great tone. With those mallets the students have the ability to lay down the beat and keep the low brass in line and in time.
The triangle creates the frosting of the cake that is middle school band. Using that triangle with the those specific beaters allows the triangle part to speak throughout any of our performance venues. Students will be proud to play this triangle.
