This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are excited about learning. I want to take learning outside the classroom. Technology will allow my students to be up to date on the current events that going on around the country and world. Having all essential materials will allow me to create a positive learning environment and create life-long learners. As a Title I school we are short on funds, but I do not want my students to be at a disadvantage. Please help me get materials for my student both inside and outside my classroom. My 6th grade students are hard workers and would love the ability to use these item on a daily basis.

My Project

I want my students to be stimulated inside and outside the classroom. In class I would like to have enough technology to share amongst the 110 students I see daily. I would like these tablets to extend the learning experience outside the classroom. They will be able to complete research, and interactive learning games with these tablets. Also, with the tablets my ESOL students will be able to communicate with me using google translate. My special education students will use the tablets to complete intervention programs.

After traditional educational classes, my students go to recess.

I would like my students to participate in social play at recess. The physical education materials allows the students to play together and promote teamwork with the hands on games . I will also use the ropes and games in class to promote team work activities. I will incorporate the physical education items in class to assist me in subjects like social studies as it relates to debates and checks and balance. They will be able to stay physically active by jumping rope and playing the games that make them move both inside and outside the classroom. There will be over 100 students at recess; letting them have equipment that will help them socialize will decrease possible behavior problems.
