Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a Title I school that has a very diverse population. I have English language learners, students that live in the shelter, and students that come from low-income households. My students are hard workers that deserve to have the best education possible.
My Project
This project will help fund resources that will highly impact my students' learning and social emotional needs. Due to COVID, several students struggle with reading and math. Not being in school has greatly affected their reading and math skills. These games, foam tiles, and other resources will benefit their learning and help filling in the gaps that they have. I am planning on filling in the gaps they have in Phonemic awareness.
My district has been training us on LETRS which has taught me great ways to increase my students' reading skills but unfortunately, I do not have all the tools that can help my students.
By funding this project, I will everything I need to help my students succeed.
