My Students

My second grade classroom is transforming from a traditional classroom of instruction to a technology infused classroom of collaboration and exploration.

At my school, students have a passion for learning but face unique challenges.

All of our school's students are eager to learn and have great potential. That is not to say that our school is without its challenges; our students deserve to learn skills that they can apply in their technology rich futures and careers. I feel that providing opportunities for students to work with age appropriate technology helps our students become better learners and gives them the foundations for a tech infused future.

My Project

The use of iPads is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Our classroom is currently lacking math resources and Language Arts resources. I feel that if my students have an resource to help supplement their learning, they will become more excited and encouraged to learn, especially if they're able to use technology and the visual arts! As a new generation of learners, I need to support my students in obtaining skills that will help them for prepare for a successful future. This project helps us focus on creative and technology skills while building foundational academic skills. We are not a 1:1 school, but if these resources are bought I'd be able to create centers so that all my students will be given the opportunity to use these resources.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement, technology literacy, and visual arts skills.

Plus in a world with unforeseeable opportunities, any interaction with updated technology and art will increase their literacy as well as their desire 21st century skills!
