My Project
My students are precious, silly, talkative, inquisitive little humans. They do come mostly from low-income families, so they need a lot of academic support. COVID and long-term school closures in our area also really did a number on their foundational learning, and many are below grade level in reading and/or math. These high-interest nonfiction books will be an amazing addition to our classroom library and will support our biography and animal research projects. 3rd grade ELA standards can be tricky because students are transitioning from learning to read to reading to learn, and also higher level writing skills.
