My project needs 40 different incentive prizes, such as notepads, pencils, gel pens, games, bookmarks, and crayons.

This project is fully funded

I am a speech-language therapist working in a low socioeconomic area. I have a caseload of 70 children who have various disabilities, from specific learning disabilities to autism and down syndrome. Being that many of these children are in special education, they are not often awarded for their work or behavior as often as those in regular education. Many miss out of opportunities for prizes or incentives. This proposal is asking for just that. My classroom needs a lot of incentives/prizes for these darling children. Each child will have to work towards receiving a prize, but no child will be left behind!! As the children come to therapy (or I go to them within the classroom), if they are cooperative and work with me they will receive a Communication Coupon. When they have a predetermined amount of coupons they will be able to exchange that (like money) for a prize of their choice. Again, this is a poverty stricken school and so many of these children would not be able to afford some of these prizes; like the games and such. I really feel that having this system in place would really motivate these kids to learn and try harder in class while giving them a little something to bring home and be proud of!! Please help me in providing this for my children.
