My Project

I teach in a school district where our families come from a wide range of economic backgrounds. District-wide, all of our students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. While many of my students have all they need to learn, as a district, many of our students come to school without basic supplies and our classrooms lack many standard resources due to lack of district funding.

The students in my classroom this year are insightful, passionate about learning and share a love of reading.

I have chosen award winning chapter books to enrich our classroom library and allow for both novel studies and independent reading. These beautiful stories reflect a diversity of stories represented by my students but also introduce them to worlds that they may not have yet been exposed to. Thank you for considering giving to my students and my classroom.
