My Project
Reading stamina is a classroom goal for the final part of the year. Unique stuffed animals they can read to and cuddle with are ideal for motivating my students. These stuffed animals will help them stay focused, supporting their growing stamina during reading.
Kindergarteners have a lot of energy and these color sensory tiles will keep their feet planted during their time in the new calm-down spot.
They will also be used as STEM activities during our structured playtime when learning about motion. The classroom is very social, and focusing on personal needs is an opportunity for growth. Thus, being able to calm their bodies, relax their minds and allow them time to settle and be ready to work.
Learning activities utilized in the morning and for early finishers have increased independence within the classroom. The addition of STEM-based learning activities will energize their thinking. Quake Engineering kit and Roller Coaster Challenge will complement their math and writing skills.
Finally, for students' organization, I need to provide them with resources to accomplish the task. A few storage containers will access the new STEM activities.
