My Students
The students in my class come from diverse backgrounds. Many do not have as good of a background as I had. When I was in third grade, I didn't have to worry about whether I would be sleeping on a bed or the floor, or where my next meal would come from. It is my goal to provide my students with as good of an education as I had.
However, as a first-year teacher, I do not have enough resources to fulfill my goal.
I'm lucky to have friends and family who are happy to help me set up my class, but without classroom materials, I won't be able to make the most of this help. With your help, I will be able to accomplish my goal and make my students' third grade year the best it can be!
My Project
The materials in this project will help me fulfill my goal of giving my students the education they need. As a beginning teacher, I don't have many teaching resources. Resources such as a rolling cart and label maker will help us organize materials, which will allow me to do even more for and with my students.
The students in my class deserve the best educational materials, from interesting books and inspiring posters to art supplies.
A 3D printer will not only allow my students to make interactive art projects, but will also allow them to make miniature planets to supplement part of our science curriculum, which deals with the planets and solar system. Also, a paper cutter will help my students make more creative art projects. A voice amplifier will more easily facilitate outdoor activities, such as extra PE, since students will be able to hear me more easily.
