AVTF on the Go: Creating Beyond the Classroom

Help me give my students the tools they need to create high-quality media content on the go with portable tripods, handheld lights, a teleprompter, and tablet, empowering them to film in the field, and conduct interviews.

My Project

My students are creative, curious, and full of stories to tell. As members of our AVTF (Audio Video Technology & Film) program, they’re learning to become the next generation of content creators, reporters, filmmakers, and digital storytellers. They take pride in sharing the voices of our school and community through video, news, and social media—and they do it all with limited resources.

The items in this project will help transform our productions by giving students access to professional-grade tools that are portable.

These tripods, LED lights, tablets, video rigs, and a Bluetooth teleprompter will allow students to film and report on the go, whether in the hallways, on the field, or out in the community.

This equipment will make it possible for my students to create high-quality content wherever the story takes them. It will also teach them how to work with real-world gear used in the media industry, preparing them for both college and careers. Most importantly, these tools will help them take ownership of their learning, be proud of their work, and confidently share their voices with the world.
