Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials on this project wishlist will go directly to students in the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) elective class. This is a college and career prep class that teaches students organization and note-taking skills. Students also participate in study sessions twice a week that are modeled after college study groups. To foster a sense of community and collaborative amongst students the class hosts Fun Fridays. Students will be able to play games, attend field trips, and work together to solve puzzles. In order to continue these AVID traditions, additional supplies are needed.
