This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Early College High School 9th graders take AVID, a college preparation class. AVID’s mission is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college and career readiness and success in a global society.
On certain Fridays, we have Fun Fridays, where the students are able to play games, do team-building activities, and connect with their peers.
The goal of Fun Friday is for students to build strong socio-emotional connections with their peers. I would like to purchase these items for my students to learn, connect, and play together to form positive bonds amongst their classmates. Playing is learning! (I have also included some personal care items to provide to students in need.)
