My Project
AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a proven program that helps students develop the academic habits they need to succeed in school and beyond. In our 5th grade AVID classroom, we focus on building strong skills in organization, note-taking, and collaboration—foundations for lifelong learning. Your support will help provide essential materials like folders, divider tabs, page protectors, pencil pouches, highlighters, and post-it notes that students will use to maintain structured binders and take focused notes. We will also create a “Student Updates Corner” with a cork board to highlight growth, goals, and accomplishments.
These resources empower students to take ownership of their learning, work well with peers, and stay prepared every day.
With these tools, they’ll be ready for middle school and one step closer to a successful future!
