My Students
Hi Donors, I work in a Title I School located in Manhattan, New York City. Our population consists of minorities and low-income families. All students are eager to learn new and interesting things. Our goal is to prepare students for upper grades and become college-ready individuals. We push our students to their fullest potential.
Our elementary school provides rigorous academics and a safe learning environment to grades PreK-5.
My Project
Our 4th graders love ready and are eager to learn. We would love to fill our classroom library with new books that our students are interested in. Our classroom library is limited. The books are not on grade level. Some books are ripped and falling apart.
With these books, we will be able to inspire all students to love reading and build important reading skills!
By filling our library with fiction and non-fiction texts between a level M to a level S, we will be able to create a space where all of our fourth grade students can participate in book talks, book clubs, and more with their peers.
