it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a teacher who teaches students with autism in Paterson, NJ. I have six children, with different ability levels ranging from K-5. With that being said each child's needs are extremely different. I have been teaching students with autism for the past few years and I couldn't love my job anymore! Being that we are very limited with manipulatives and resources for our babies, I decided to reach out for a helping hand.
Sensory toys help children with autism relax, focus, and calm down to a scenario or event.
It helps them grasp objects with decreased fear and discomfort, ultimately helping them play naturally. Furthermore, sensory toys help develop social learning skills like negotiating, planning, and sharing.
