Help me give my students fun and engaging materials to strengthen their little hands. Imagine playing "Feed the Animals" using fun tweezers to feed bones to a hungry dog!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach extraordinary kindergarten, first, and second grade students with diverse learning needs. Students come into my classroom with an individualized education plan so we can meet their unique needs for success in all areas of their development. With our team we use different strategies so they can reach the curriculum in different ways.
Our classroom learns from one another, accepts our differences, and encourages each other.
Together we learn and grow from one another. Our classroom is filled with unique abilities and personalities that allow us to accept and recognize our differences that make us special.
My students are "OWL"stars! They want to learn and be engaged. The environment provided for them gives them a place to feel safe, confident, and know it's okay to learn from mistakes. They are excited to show their new skills. We are a community of learners that encourage and help each other. I am proud to be their teacher and hope to inspire them in their continued success!
My Project
Building and strengthening fine motor skills creates life-long benefits. Our daily activities such as dressing, eating, and writing requires the coordination and strength of the small muscles in our hands and it all begins at a very young age.
If you support this project, you will provide my students with engaging materials that will benefit the development of their fine motor skills and eye coordination which will transform their writing, coloring, cutting, and dressing!
These manipulatives are a fun way for students to strengthen their skills all while having fun! Imagine playing "Feed the Animals" using tongs to get food into the rabbit's mouth, rolling and pinching Play-Doh to make the longest snake, or lacing your friend's name using the beads! The golf pencils will help them practice correct writing grip to improve their handwriting and coloring. They will have many opportunities with the variety of materials to develop their little muscles!
It is very important to start working with children on building fine motor skills at a very young age and I greatly appreciate your support!
