Author/Illustrator Study of Ezra Jack Keats and the Snowy Day

Help me give my students a hands-on maker experience in collaboration with Art and Media. We will make snow globes with small jars, shrinky dinks, glue and glitter.

My Project

Glitter, glue, shrinky dinks and some imagination will transform jars into magical snow globes. These materials will allow all the students at Lead Mine Elementary the hands-on learning experience focusing on a school-wide Author/Illustrator study of Ezra Jack Keats and the Snowy Day. Keats is a dynamic author/illustrator who has created many timeless classics.

Kids love to create, and the Media and Art programs will combine their efforts to create a truly hands-on learning experience.

Children will study Ezra Jack Keats as an Author and Illustrator while creating a winter scene snow globe as the final project.
