My Project
Author studies are some of my favorite ways to promote books in the library. The lesson starts with a little blurb about the author. Then we read one book together with the book projected on the big screen. Students are able to follow along and interact with the book as a class. Then, students are able to self-analyze if this would be a good fit book for them. Were they able to read most of the words along with the read aloud? Was it a topic they are interested in? Would they like to read more by this author or in this genre?
The books in this project will help strengthen a few of the author studies we have already done this year. These new books by the authors that students know and love will fly off the shelves and be loved by readers instantly!
