This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students at ACHS have been greatly impacted by COVID. Students missed out on lots of educational material due to have other responsibilities at home while on virtual learning which is still impacting them today! There was an increase in violence after covid which directly impacted many of students and their families. There has been a lot of trauma with our students from covid. This included homelessness, death of family member, loss of jobs for families and much more. When students are faced with trauma, they struggle to learn how to regualte their emotions and as a school we work with students to learn how to do that so they are successful beyond high school.
