This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have loved moving beyond coding and getting hands-on with Arduino boards. They're building circuits, using breadboards, and wiring projects that include sensors, LEDS, motors, and more. This Donors Choose project will provide some extra materials that I know will keep them excited and learning.

My students will be able to build small robotics vehicles and build and program a Smart House using our Arduino boards.

The Smart House model will allow students to simulate a password door entry, use a soil moisture sensor to determine when the garden needs opening, using a humidity sensor to open and close the windows, use temperature sensors to decide when to operate a fan to cool the home, and more.
