My Students

I teach Pre-K at a Title I school. I have students who have various educational and cultural backgrounds, which creates a diverse classroom community. I love each of them for what they bring to our family and I want to foster their unique talents.

"Every student can learn, just not on the same day or in the same way."-George Evans.

This quote describes my students perfectly because they need me to use differentiated instruction to meet their various needs. They are awesome kids and I want to provide them with the tools to be successful in school and in life!

Our world is changing so quickly. I am attempting to prepare scholars for jobs that haven't even been thought of yet. In order for them to receive the best foundation, they need access to the newest technology possible.

My Project

I would like to purchase the Learning alive Suite with the objective of providing my beginning and at-risk students the best possible instruction. The Learning alive program is aligned with State Standards and is based on the latest research on effective reading and math instruction. My school has 60 Pre-K students for whom the Learning alive Program is ideally suited.

In the Letters alive portion of the curriculum 26 alphabet cards SPRING TO LIFE IN 3D through the advanced technology of augmented reality.

Each card features an animal that corresponds to a letter in the alphabet, and seem intelligent as they amazingly respond to the questions and sentences that the students build. Even reluctant learners enthusiastically respond to the animals, sounds, and interactive learning.

The Math alive software includes a game-based, supplemental math curriculum featuring Augmented Reality. As with Letters alive, Math alive provides a multi-sensory approach to help students learn basic math skills. The Math alive program is aligned with State Standards and utilizes research-based best practices to teach early mathematical concepts, skills, and principles. The curriculum's 41 Teacher cards spring to life in 3D through the advanced technology of augmented reality.

Students using this innovative system will be able to improve their use of existing classroom materials, including textbooks, providing them access to the general curriculum. The students will master the basics to succeed in subsequent grades.
