Auditory And Visual Learning for Autistic Students

My students need a Radius Interactive Learning System, with 4 sets of audio cards and CDs.

This project is fully funded

I am a middle school special education teacher and I teach seven wonderful students with Autism. My students are special, not because of the disabilities they possess, but because of the valiant effort they put forth in their everyday tasks, no matter what the condition or type of the materials they have. My students enjoy technology and are intrigued by things they can manipulate and interact with. However, we are in a district that is struggling financially, so asking for things other than basic supplies is not an option.

Regular paper/pencil assignments are difficult for my students to complete. Plus these types of activities rarely hold their attention as well. I am always searching for unique ways for my students to learn and they always show interest in any type of activity that uses multiple senses and technology.

I am requesting a unique reading system that my students can interact with, enjoy, and learn at the same time. I feel that the Radius Learning System can do just that.
