it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Over the past two years, COVID-19 has impacted learning significantly in my classroom. As a relatively new program that started during the pandemic, it was a difficult time for both my students and I; from the uncertainties of the coronavirus to the re-working of physical content to be detailed and formatted for an online learning world. Being a teacher during COVID-19 was difficult, but students suffered as well. As our students began working virtually, when students were recording their projects for the audio production class, they were able to record clear audio by using home materials such as clothes in a closet or bedroom blankets to help isolate their location for optimal sound recordings Although we had hardships over the past year and a half, my students were still able to provide consistent, quality work without ever visiting my classroom.
Flash forward today, our students are gradually developing their academic and social-emotional skills by collaborating, but with the audio production program being so new, we are still in need of in-person materials.
The materials requested would help our students by providing them an additional musical instrument to learn and record as well as a portable sound isolation booth that gives the students the necessary in-person studio-quality isolation our students need for their recordings.
