it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
DJing can allow our students to have a unique outlet for their creativity and bring a fresh dynamic to learning music.
Learning to DJ encourages kids to explore different music genres, broadening their musical horizons, as well as experimenting with various tracks, beats, and rhythms, allowing them to develop a deep appreciation for new music.
Students will learn to use DJ controller and become skilled at using technology creatively. Their hands-on experience will foster creative problem solving because mixing tracks and creating sets involves trial and error and a lot of experimentation. They must develop innovative solutions to make their sets unique and sound the way they want to. DJing allows children to express their emotions and ideas through music as well as providing a better grasp of rhythmic patterns. As students master these new DJing skills and perform in front of others, they will gain confidence and encourage themselves to take creative risks and express themselves freely.
Our goal is to allow these students to learn and build on their knowledge of music technology, collaborate in groups to problem solve and create as well as enjoy expressing themselves and finding a voice through musical exploration.
