Audio books: Engaging Literacy Activity for Toddlers

Help me give my students a technology/listening center by helping me purchase a Tonies audio book player. It uses audio storytelling to introduce developing readers to the wonders of books before children can read on their own.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Audiobooks are an incredible learning tool for toddlers, helping develop their listening skills, vocabulary, and imagination—especially for children who are still learning to read. I am kindly asking for donations of a Tonies Audiobook Player, along with Tonie characters and child-friendly headphones, for my Pre-K classroom.

The Tonies system is both fun and interactive, allowing young learners to independently explore stories through hands-on play.

With your generous support, we can create an engaging reading environment that nurtures a lifelong love of books and storytelling in our little learners.

I hope to use these donations to listen to audio books during independent free choice centers, and in small group and large group activities. I intend to use the music functions during morning meeting, transitions, and rest time. Thank you again for your support.
