My Students

My class consists of 8 students, ages 5-8, all diagnosed with Autism. Each student is on a developmental level below grade level.

Due to their functioning level, each student participates in an early learning and language program to give them skills to become functioning members of society.

My Project

The furniture I am requesting will structure my classroom to help my students succeed. It will teach my students to be aware of their surrounds and position within our classroom.

Utilizing dividers will help to eliminate distractions within the classroom.

The pillows I have requested will used during our group morning meeting. These will provide assigned seating for each student during morning meeting. The pillows will also be used as a calming area for students to relax, and they will provide a comfortable place for my students to look at books during their center time.
