My Project
My project will provide a variety of child-friendly food choice items that our students in the K-2 Autistic Support Classroom prefer to eat due to their food sensitivity concerns, and their individual aversions to the strong taste and textures of many foods.
Research tells us that many individuals with autism tend to have strong preferences for carbohydrates and processed foods while rejecting fruits and vegetables.
We want to build our pantry with the food items the class voted on to meet their unique needs and to provide alternative lunch and snack items for these special students.
Cleaning supplies are being requested to keep our learning environment safe and healthy.
