My Project
Students, much like adults, are motivated by rewards, similar to how we might feel incentivized by a bonus check for our hard work. Students have such a curiosity and love for learning that is so amazing to see each day. Every day in the classroom is an opportunity for them to learn, grow, and succeed.
However, chronic absenteeism can hinder academic achievement and social development.
To encourage students to attend school consistently, I am seeking support to implement a Perfect Attendance Incentive Program that will reward students for their dedication and commitment to their education.
Regular attendance is a key predictor of student success. By implementing an incentive program, we can: foster a positive school culture that values attendance, help students develop responsibility and good habits, improve academic outcomes by ensuring students are in class to engage with learning activities, and strengthen students' sense of belonging and motivation.
The iPads and Nintendo Switches will be used for a whole school incentive program. The students who are here each day will get a raffle ticket to put into the school drawing each nine weeks. This will keep the student motivated to be here and on time all year long. The more students are in attendance the more opportunities for them to win the prize.
