Imagine 32 students hooked on every word you say, soaking up economics concepts faster than a dry sponge. They sit with baited breathe and then the cords to the projector goes out leaving you with a blue screen. Help us slay the "Killer Cord Monsters" with a donation of a wireless network adapter!
This isn't your grandma's econ class.
My students and I breath life into economics. With lessons focusing on the power of money on our everyday lives, my students learn how to control, influence, and retain economic principles in order to lead fiscally responsible lives.
With the addition of the network adapter, the wireless transformation of our classroom would be complete. Thus, allowing my students to freely and safely integrate various modes of technology without the cumbersome and vicious attack of the "Killer Cord Monsters".
With over a 70% free and reduced lunch population, my students are achievers that are able to conquer any challenge(s) placed before them. Their drive and determination to succeed in spite of their surroundings has inspired our school and our community to reexamine and renew efforts to help our town move forward in a more positive light.
My Project
In a day and age where many are requesting iPads, laptops, and other high caliber electronics, my students and I are requesting something simple. With the gift of being able to have a Network adapter, my students and I will be completing Phase 1 of our technology overhaul of our classroom - a complete wireless conversion.
No longer will my students and I be held hostage by the "Killer Cord Monsters" in our quest to travel down the information superhighway. With our new found freedom, my students will be able to learn how to travel down the road of economic empowerment. We will be able to spend more time learning concepts rather than fighting cords. We will succeed in our fight to master the World of Economics!
In closing, I have seen my students surpass my expectations when they are given the basic objects needed in class.
Yet, they don't give up; their thirst for knowledge will not be squelched by the lack of resources. They are go-getters driven to succeed. It is with this in mind, I simply ask you...Please Support My Class!
