This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The challenges surrounding school footwear are particularly heartbreaking for many families, who often have to prioritize essential expenses over the needs of their children’s extracurricular activities. This financial strain not only affects daily living but also hinders our young athletes from fully engaging in sports and their education, which are vital for their growth and success.
I firmly believe in providing these incredible athletes with opportunities to thrive and stay positive amid the struggles they face.
They are truly special; despite being in a low-income environment, they show up each day with determination and smiles that light up the field. Even when circumstances might prevent them from having sufficient meals, I do my utmost to provide basic necessities that keep their spirits high. I humbly ask for your support in addressing these challenges, as they have become quite overwhelming for me. Every little bit can make a significant difference in their lives.
