This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In my classroom, I have 25 wonderful English language learners who are curious and excited to learn new things. Every child in my classroom loves learning. The pandemic has been a struggle for many. They miss going to school, their classmates, and teachers.

Unfortunately, they also have a lack of resources and supplies to complete assigned activities to help them continue their learning at home.

Although, struggles continue at home, they are willing to participate in our remote classroom and engage in activities.

My Project

My students need basic supplies at home. They would benefit from a variety of classroom resources to help increase their success during our remote learning.

My students are in need of books to read at home at their level.

It is important that they continue to work on their reading skills and continue to work on reading strategies to help them become better readers. I have also included word building centers and phonics workbook that will also help them improve their reading skills. In addition, they are in need of arts and crafts supplies to help them create art and science experiments that go along with my remote lessons. Many students don't have the resources to create art or work on experiments. Providing them with these resources will help them continue to stay engaged during these troubling times at home.

This project will help me ensure that they have the necessary resources at home while we continue to learn remotely.
