My Project
I've always been a person who loves to read and I can honestly thank my teachers for that when I was young. I remember listening to read-aloud stories in school and getting excited to listen to see what was going to happen. In my classroom, I get kiddos from all different backgrounds. Some kiddos have never owned a book, whereas others have many. Most of my families are low-income.
I want to give a book to my kiddos each month to build their at-home library.
Giving my students a book each month will not only get them excited, but encourage them to read at home with their families. It would help show them how important reading is as well as build their liteacy skills for Kindergarten!
