This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 24 eager soon to be third graders. Due to the school closures, I decided to move up with my second graders since I know at the academic levels they are at as well as have them ease to a new grade with a familiar face. My students attend a low-income/high poverty Title I school in central Los Angeles. They are ready to explore their world and help each other learn as much as they can. The majority of my students live in apartment complexes or in multi-family homes.
My Project
The student planners will assist my students learn organization skills as well as become more responsible for their own learning. Those skills will help them later in life as they continue their education. Also, my students will use the planners to keep track of all their assignment whether they are in the classroom or learning from home.
In addition the planners will also be used by parents to keep up to date with their child's progress, assignments and or as a communication logs since many of the parents have a difficult time using technology.
