This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students with disabilities and multilingual learners deserve to access grade-appropriate instruction in a welcoming learning environment. Lap desks and comfy seating are some of the pillars that will drive successful parallel teaching in an integrated co-teaching classroom.
Coming from the South Bronx, my 3rd-grade students are inquisitive and rise above their circumstances.
They are always eager to learn every day despite any challenges they face.
Currently, my students do not have anywhere to sit comfortably when I employ parallel teaching methods in my classroom. With the completion of this project, I will use the carpet, lap desks, and floor pillows for parallel instruction.
