My Students
Have you experienced the joy of painting? The joy of drawing? Sculpting? Animation? Well, my students are looking to experience all of those joys! My students are creative and thoughtful, but they are lacking a dedicated period in their school day to express themselves.
At my school, we are trying to provide this critical creative outlet by opening the Art Club for grades 9-12!
For some time now, our students have been without an Art Class at our school. This deficit has created a hunger in our students for a time and a space to have hands-on art projects!
Unfortunately, many of our students do not have the supplies they need to initiate these projects in their homes and rely on school resources for opportunities. My students are an incredible group: resilient, insightful, and inventive, and they are eager to express themselves in art!
My Project
These art supplies will provide the outlet my students need to express their ideas, thoughts, and creativity. In Art Club, these supplies will be distributed and shared among the students to work toward creating their next big masterpieces!
As research shows, artistic expression can be a productive and restorative outlet for students needing support.
However, for some time now, our students have been without an Art Class at our school. These paints, brushes, canvases, charcoal pencils, sketchbooks, will be the tools our students need to establish an art community within our school.
