Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"College for certain!" My students chant this every morning because they are determined to go to college and this focus is shown in every project, experiment and field trip.
Although most of my students are from families below the poverty level, they bring a wealth of love, sincerity and a strong appetite for learning.
My students come to school every day ready to "show what they know" and work as a team to gain more knowledge. They attend a school where the day is extended and the school year is longer than all the schools in their community. The school teaches students to have a laser like focus on college.
My Project
I am requesting a camera, memory card, and printer for my class. During the school year my class completes many experiments and presentations that require photos. Having a class camera and printer will open up the doors of creativity for my class and their presentations. Along with posters and presentation boards, my students work on PowerPoint presentations that are presented to parents and the community.
We are preparing our students for the future of technology and working in groups to complete a common task.
A camera, memory card, and printer will allow students to learn technology skills they will need into adulthood.
