Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I don't teach ASB, but in speaking with my students who are in ASB, I learned that they do not have the supplies they need to make posters. We are currently doing a door decorating contest for "Value Day", which we celebrate as an alternative to Valentine's Day to make all students, faculty, and staff feel valued, and ASB does not have paper to use for the doors.

When I was in ASB, I recall having a large, rolling paper rack for making posters and paint cups to draw on the posters.

Our students don't have access to those materials, and I feel like having the materials would increase our school spirit and community.

I would like to support our ASB, who work so hard to create a culture of kindness and caring for the entire school. The paper will be used by the whole school and will offer our students the materials that most other schools have. I can even see the art teacher, science teachers, and clubs using the butcher paper as well.
