Help me give my students an Apple TV and mount to use in the classroom so we can explore educational apps together through the use of the Apple TV and a projector.

My Students

The students I teach are between 10th and 12th grade. The students in my class have a clinical diagnosis of severe emotional disturbance. They are in a single classroom all day because they have a hard time interacting with peers and adults.

I am entering my 8th year as an ED teacher, and my students are the most inspirational students I know.

They all have hardships at home. Their lives are filled with poverty, drugs, gangs, and other difficulties. Our school is a career tech high school, and all of our students are being educated to be career and college-ready.

Typically, my students are referred to as the "bad students," which is the farthest from the truth. They need someone on their side. In our class,​ we have created that space for our students. Now that they feel comfortable with us, we want to give them the same opportunities as their peers. We believe in them.

My Project

Educational technology like an Apple TV can enhance student learning by allowing teachers to use a variety of different teaching methods. Students do not learn the same way and the move towards a universal design for learning can be supported by technology like an Apple TV. An Apple TV in the classroom can allow students to interact with information in the way that can suit or streamline their unique needs. An Apple TV can improve flexibility, increase student engagement and participation, as well as increase teacher engagement by allowing the teacher to move around the classroom with an iPad in hand that is connected to the Apple TV. Using Apple TV enable the students to use apps like they would on an iPad, but since the Apple TV would be synced with a projector we can utilize the apps as a class together.

My students need an Apple TV to increase their awareness of the importance of financial literacy, money, and math.

My motivated students need an Apple TV to help them as they increase their knowledge in financial literacy. It is crucial that they receive this tool to be successful in school and in life. Please help!
