Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Working inside a classroom filled with diverse students it is important to have hands on geometric figures! Having these 2-D shapes which are rectangles, squares, circles, hexagons, octagons will help my students to learn how to build them independently.
Colorful, precise shapes will help build up their learning in both small groups and independently.
My students will have these geometric figures on hand both at school and home so that they can make their mathematics learning accessible. With these shapes we will be able to talk about straight versus curved sides, vertices and vertices of various shapes. Then my students will be able to talk about all different attributes that these figures have.
