In my classroom, we explore, we wonder, and we create!
My students are an amazing group of kids!
As the science and math enrichment teacher, I am fortunate to teach 324 students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. Our school is a Title I school located in a suburb of Detroit. More than 85% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. My students are mainly English language learners and they are ready to work when they step through my door!
My Project
With this project, my goal is to empower students through the arts. I envision using the table to set up an exploration station in my enrichment classroom. The microscopes and slides would be available at this table for students to explore. The students will be able to use the colored pencils and blank mini books to draw that they see under the microscope and write down their wonderings.
Your donation to this project will help me to bring some very valuable resources to my classroom.
My students are very inquisitive. Even my littlest of learners have many questions and want to use the interesting lab equipment that their siblings use. The addition of this exploration station will help me to provide my students, regardless of their age or their ability, with the tools they need to create and collaborate with their peers.
