My Students
My students are kind, creative, diverse, and so excited to learn! In my classroom, we value social action and getting things done. We're also super funny and tell a lot of dad jokes. We're cool.
My students want to do something, not just believe in something.
My students feel that it is important to listen to the voice inside of them, which almost always leads to the pursuit of action.
My Project
My students will be building and creating student portfolios! These portfolios will be filled with various meaningful writing and art projects. These supplies are so important to an arts integrated classroom.
Studies tell us that an arts integrated classroom allows students to express themselves in a healthy way, as well as boosting creativity and problem-solving!
It also allows me, the teacher, to get to know my students in a meaningful way. I have found that art and writing go hand-in-hand. Creativity is not supplemental, it is essential.
