This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These resources will help me understand, support, and advocate for my 50 amazing students!
I believe that teachers should set the example of lifelong learning by studying resources that will benefit their students.
I am a strong supporter of teaching students social-emotional strategies and how to regulate themselves and their emotions. Understanding executive function and how to support students who struggle with those skills will help me teach my students healthy ways to support themselves.
Arts integration has been taught within education degrees, but is not always supported in schools. The arts integration book will support me in integrating art, music, movement, and more culture into my classroom. As part of lifelong learning, I aim to get my National Board Certification in Literacy. This process is long and requires quite a bit of studying for the major test. However, the information gained from this certification will give me more resources to help my students.
Writing is a vital part of education! This writing set will help me help my students with a visual of the writing process and their progress during writing projects. It will support students in following every part of the writing process to improve their skills.
