This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I currently have 24 six and seven year old students in my classroom. I am teaching first-graders in a Title I school, located in a high poverty and high crime area of Pennsylvania.
All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken. I have three special education students and two ESL (English as a Second Language) students in my classroom. Several of the students in my classroom have an in-class social worker.
My Project
Please help my first graders make awesome books.
We would love to integrate art with Social Studies and Science.
My students will be making both a Science book and a Social Studies book with the markers, colored pencils, paper and staplers. They will be writing a book about our current Presidential Election. They will also write a map Social Studies book.
My first graders will use the Arts and Crafts books to study art around the world.
We would love your support in getting art supplies and Social Studies and Science materials into our classroom. We want to integrate art and the Sciences.
