My Project
My AP Calculus students have been working extremely hard all school year in preparation for their AP Exam in early May. To end the school year, I want to give them a fun arts and crafts project relating to our cross sections unit. In this project, my students would be expected to create a 3D representation of an object using functions and basic geometric shapes.
My hope is that students won't have to worry about buying too many materials on their own and will have fun creating their 3D shape in this final project.
Having the foam boards and colored paper would give my students options of how to create their shape. For students who choose foam boards, they can glue it onto their poster board with the low-temp glue-gun. The scissors would be for my students to cut out the individual cross sections that will make up their 3D shape.
Thank you for taking the time to read my project proposal!
