Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In our classroom we spend so much time preparing for tests, that sometimes we don't get to do very many art projects. When we do, students are so excited.
My students come from families with very limited resources.
A lot of these students don't have art supplies at home. They are creative and very expressive. Their only place to express this creativity is at school. Unfortunately our school is very small and because of this, our budget seems to shrink drastically every year. Replenishing art supplies just isn't a priority at this point.
My Project
By having these watercolor sets and refills, our class will be able to create wonderful works of art, without having to borrow materials from another class. Students will all be able to work on an art project at once, without sharing or having to wait their turn to use the materials.
By having donations to our project will mean a world of difference in our classroom.
Having these needed materials in our classroom will motivate and engage students in other areas.
