Artists Need to Create a Set for Their Musical Performance

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

TK students are very young and many of their experiences here at school are firsts for the students. Our musical performance will be a first for them. The paper and streamers I am requesting in this project will help these young artists create visuals of the characters in our musical. They will help students engage in creative expression, retell the story they are learning for the musical, develop ownership of the songs and dances in this play, and gain the repetition and practice they need to be successful in their first performance for an audience.

The TK students have learned countless social and academic skills this year and I am so very excited for them to have the opportunity to combine all of these skills with art, music, dance and storytelling to put on a musical performance of The Wide Mouthed Frog for their families and for their fellow students here at the school.
