This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at our Early Education Center are new learners! The majority of them live in the Los Angeles area and are from low income/poverty level families. To be enrolled at our school, their parents must be working and/or going to school. Their ages range from 2 to 5 years of age, and due to their age they are learning new things daily through play and experiences. Our Early Education Center was open in the mid-1960's, and many of our classroom items and supplies are dated.
My Project
In our classroom creativity is one of the most important things. Creativity is important at our age group, and this art easel will help our children in their developmental growing.
Creativity is the key to toddler and preschool ages, and art will help with cognitive and social emotional development.
The creative process can be divided into four stages: preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. In the first stage, your brain is gathering information. After all, creative ideas don't come from a vacuum. In the second stage, you let your mind wander and stretch your ideas. Your donations will help our children grow, create, and become the future of our generation.
