My students need one gallon containers of paint in an array of colors. They also need collage materials to enable them express themselves.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 40 preschool children are that four and five year olds. Our school is located in a very high-need, high-poverty area of the city.
Each year it is becoming more and more difficult to find funding for new supplies in our classroom. With having 40 preschool aged children we tend to go through supplies and furniture rather quickly since we do so many hands on projects and get a little messy.
We desperately need paint for our classroom! We have a double sided art easel in our classroom that is the most popular center in the room. We also use paint on a regular basis to create murals and other learning projects.
Painting is a wonderful way for children to express their feelings and emotions. I learn so much about each child by simply looking at their paintings. I would love to have more than one color of paint so that children are able to chose colors that reflect their mood. Currently we only have one gallon of yellow paint and there isn't much you can do with just yellow!
We would also enjoy having collage materials such as foam shapes and foam sheets that we can cut out. The children love being able to create freely in the classroom but we don't always have enough materials to allow them to do this.
You will make it possible for my students to continue learning and have fun while painting in our classroom.
Art is not offered at our school. I feel that many of the upper grade teachers do not teach art or have art supplies in their classroom for the children to use.
Preschool might be the only chance my children will have to explore art freely. With your help my children will grow to appreciate all forms of art.
