Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting an iPad and apple pencil to help give my students the chance to learn digital art. This will make a difference in their learning, because it will give them another avenue and opportunity to learn how to use modern day tools for a skill that is as old as time.
My goals for this project is to be able to give my students who are more artistically inclined the chance to learn digital art and become familiar with the programs that are used today by professional artists.
What makes my students special is that they are able to be resilient and persevere despite the odds they are faced with. Many of my students are economically disadvantaged and school is their last priority due to personal circumstances. Their ability to continue to come to school and work and try their hardest is a testament to how much they are willing to put forth to get their education.
